Agriel Ness is a Latvian-born, London-based photographic artist whose practice interlaces personal experience with collective memory and experience. Drawing on mythology and symbolism, her work explores femininity, identity and the intangible realms of the subconscious, transforming the unseen into striking photographic landscapes. She delves into the human psyche through surreal, darkly romantic visions rooted in the feminine experience—veiled in the unknown.
Through a mixture of self portraiture and a series of intimate collaborations, Agriel creates work that serves as a space for healing and expression, both in its process and outcome.
She is currently working on her first fine art photography book Sympatheia alongside developing other projects.
